Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Los Angeles, California

Description

A growing company Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team! The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in managing vendor payments, invoice processing, and overall financial reporting. This job necessitates a high level of organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This position is fully onsite and is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable for business transactions, which includes verifying transactions, reconciliation of invoices, and payment processing.

  • Collaborate with departments and suppliers to ensure timely payment and resolve any arising issues.

  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions and prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.

  • Enhance and streamline procedures to improve efficiency in processing vendor payments and financial reports.

  • Support monthly closing of financial records and participate in audits as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations and internal policies.

  • Assist with other finance related tasks as required.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

  • Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel and familiarity with accounting software.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
