Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines independently to perform precise operations on fastener components to exact specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC machined parts and equipment.
Set up machines, adjust tooling, and operate automatic load systems under general direction.
Read and interpret drawings and documentation to determine machining requirements.
Input CNC programs according to setup procedures, perform dry runs to verify setups, and report errors.
Maintain production logs, ensure workflow efficiency using SPC techniques, and keep SYMIX database accurate.
Participate in team activities, contribute to problem-solving, and improve production processes.
Perform Total Productive Maintenance and ensure accuracy in parts and documentation.
Communicate with CNC staff and suggest improvements for workflow and equipment efficiency.
Adhere to safety protocols to manage hazards related to moving parts, metalworking fluids, and prolonged standing.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 50lbs
standing for 8 hours at one time
working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week
working weekends
