The anticipated salary range for this role is between $161,000.00 and $227,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

JOB SUMMARY:
The newly created FX Product & Sales Manager will be responsible for devising, supporting and driving the FXPayments strategy and bringing solutions to clients. Collaborating with the broader Product Team, the FXProduct/Sales Manager will represent the voice of the client and be responsible for the go to market strategy asnew product features are released.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the FX subject matter expert and partner with Relationship Managers and Cash Management Salesto identify sales opportunities.
Partner with Treasury to identify opportunities to develop new FX products.
Drive innovation and ideation discussions with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive FXoptimizations.
Drive the Go-to-Market readiness for product roll outs, such as providing training and support to teams inSales, Operations, Client Services and other functional areas.
Assess and evaluate external partnership opportunities to accelerate the suite of rails/markets that areavailable for clients.
Ensure product vision and requirements are defined globally, with long-term and scale in mind.
Write clear, detailed and thorough specifications and user stories for complex features, functionality andproducts.
Clearly solicit feedback and distill vision, strategy, product benefits and results to our internal clients.
Monitor impact of product features and key metrics.
Acts as the voice of the client in product and workflow design, gathering direct feedback fromcustomers/stakeholders on the future feature roadmap.
Collaborate with cross divisional teams such as operations, information technology, legal, compliance andrisk where required to progress the product development and product launch.
Stay current or participate in industry forums where necessary such as AFP and Nacha conference whererequired to gain industry and client insight and support of future and emerging products development.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in FX, Payments or Treasury preferred.
Undergraduate Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in financial services, either in product or strategy.
Ability to develop business cases and syndicate for buy-in.
Client centric and innovative mindset in product design.
Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources.
Comfortable with quick pace, quick change, ambiguities.
Strong organizational skills.
A "can do" attitude, with an ability to problem-solve.
Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders.
