UCLA Health Guest Services Rep. (Tiverton Hotel) in Los Angeles, California

UCLA Health's Tiverton, Health & Wellness Hotel is

seeking to hire a full-time Guest Service Representative to join our team! The

Tiverton is a 100-room hotel designed to meet the need of UCLA Health patients

and their families. Our mission is to provide each of our guests all the

comfort and warmth of a 'home away from home' by providing a calm environment,

promoting health and wellness initiatives, and making guest experiences

memorable.

As a Guest Services Representative, you will support our

mission by operation a 24-hour front desk to assist with the administrative and

concierge duties for the front house operations. Primary duties include:

  • Front desk duties (Answering phones, greeting guests, check-in/out, etc.)

  • Handling guest accounting including billing, deposits, and recharges

  • Handle concierge services

  • Coordinating requests with Housekeeping, EVS, and Maintenance

  • Participate and help guests with health and wellness events

  • Other duties as assigned

Please note: This position will primarily work the evening

shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may vary to accommodate

operational needs.

Various Shifts may include:

  • 6:00am-2:30pm

  • 9:30am-6:00pm

  • 2:00pm-10:30pm

  • 10:15pm-6:15am

Salary range: $25.60/hr - $36.33/hr

Qualifications

Prior experience working in the service industry

Ability to work in a team capacity to accomplish department

goals and objectives, while motivating others to work together as a team

Demonstrated experience in working in high-volume public

contact setting (including customer service, team building, problem solving,

and service recovery)

Skill in prioritizing assignments and multi-tasking to

complete work

Ability to write memos, letters, and routine email

correspondence

Interpersonal skills to communicate, work diplomatically,

and interact with hotel guests and staff

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word,

etc)

Ability to work accurately with numbers and knowledge of

cash handling procedures

Ability to perform basic physical tasks and lift up to

25-50lb

Ability to speak Spanish, Mandarin, or other language

(preferred)
