UCLA Health Lab Assistant II in Los Angeles, California
Seeking a Laboratory Assistant with an interest in neurological rehabilitation and research. Primary functions are to assist with daily
lab operations. Major duties include but are not limited to: multi-site coordination/communication; staff credentialing; data collection and entry; equipment setup and transport; ordering supplies and equipment; and special projects and duties as assigned. You may also be required to conduct home visits to deliver equipment to assist existing staff with various tasks, as needed.Qualifications
Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact, communicate, and work as a
team member with the academic, research and administrative staff and students
Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping, sitting, squatting, walking, standing,
and reaching during 8-10 hr. day
Experience volunteering or working with patients with neurological disorders
Experience working or volunteering in a research lab
Knowledge and experience using image analysis software programs
Experience in the quality control of MRI data
Demonstrated experience with data management and recording
Knowledge of neuroanatomy and neuroscience
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in related field
