UCLA Health Nurse Practitioner - Structural Heart - Limited Appt in Los Angeles, California
Description
The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.
This a limited 6 month appointment. A limited appointment may convert to career.
Salary range: NP2: $84.82- $121.13/hourly , NP1 : less than 6 months exp : $76.51/hourly
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS from AHA or ARC
CA RN and CA Nurse Practitioner
State of California NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, National Certification (i.e. ANCC)
Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing
NPI #, DEA #,
Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES
Previous NP experience - strongly preferred
Previous Cardiology or Cardiac Surgery experience-required
Ability to utilize excel, word and other software program-required
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required
Skill in working independently and following through with minimum directions-required
Ability to set priorities-required
Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required
Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
NP1 : less than 6 months exp : $76.51/hourly
