UCLA Health Psychologist II (Adult/Geriatric Population) in Los Angeles, California
Description
UCLA Hispanic Neuropsychiatric Center of Excellence is
seeking to hire a full-time Psychologist to join the Bilingual and Spanish Interdisciplinary Clinical Training Program (BASIC-T) that is part of the DMH+UCLA Public
Partnership for Wellbeing. This partnership
is designed to strengthen communities and improve the wellbeing of Los Angeles
County residents and greater society by providing a holistic foundation for
addressing inequities and advancing wellbeing for all. Specifically BASIC-T is geared toward redefining the full scope of practice for Psychologists by creating the necessary infrastructure for assessment county wide so that Psychologists can practice more consistently at the top of their professional scope. Primary duties include:
Performing neuropsychological and psychological assessments
Conducting clinical interviews
Preparing reports and other documents on patient status
Training externs and fellows
Developing appropriate training materials
Collaborating with team in completing needs assessment
Providing technical assistance and peer consultation to all LA-DMH Psychologists
Will contribute to the revitalization of the scope of practice for Psychologists in LA County
Please note: we have two openings for this position for this position focused on the adult and geriatric populations
Salary: $60.11/hr - $79.30.hr
Qualifications
This position would be great for an early career Psychologists within 10 years of receiving Doctorate
Required:
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
Valid CA Psychology License (or License eligible)
Knowledge and training in a variety of psychological
assessment measures
Experience working with multi-cultural populations
Excellent oral and written communicate skills, including the
ability to write and edit reports
Demonstrated ability to protect patient confidentiality to
comply with all HIPAA, JCAHO, CMS and regulatory policies, procedures, and
requirements
Minimum 2 years of clinical and/or scientific expertise with adult and/or geriatric populations
Preferred:
Bilingual (English / Spanish or other)
2 years of formal post-doctoral training in neuropsychology
Minimum 1 year of experience training and supervising pre-doc and/or post-doc trainees
