Robert Half Senior Accountant in Los Angeles, California

Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role is in the technology industry and offers a contract employment opportunity. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for reconciliations, balance sheet review of revenue and sales tax accruals, and review process and documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting month end close activities

• Reviewing and maintaining balance sheet accounts, focusing on revenue and sales tax accruals

• Conducting regular balance sheet account reconciliations

• Implementing and improving processes and documentation related financial statement production

• Collaborating with other team members to ensure accurate and timely tax filing and balance sheet account management

• Reviewing GL balances and documenting cause of change

• Staying updated on changes GAAP reporting

• Providing support during audits, including preparing necessary documents and answering auditor queries

• Assisting with other accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role

• Proficient in managing Balance Sheet Accounts

• Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
