We have an outstanding career opportunity for aStaff Accountant to join a leading Company located in theLos Angeles, CAsurrounding area.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing and project-based accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and cost analysis, with a focus on supporting operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting, manages multiple priorities, and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements , and profit and loss statements.
Accurately record financial transactions related to assets, liabilities, and profits and losses.
Verify and reconcile financial records, including matching records with bank statements , to ensure accuracy .
Prepare and process invoices for clients and vendors, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Organize and prepare required documentation for external auditors.
Analyze financial data to recommend cost-reduction strategies and revenue enhancement opportunities.
Contribute to monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested by senior managers to support strategic decision-making.
Perform payroll functions, including time and attendance tracking, and assist with light HR-related duties as needed.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or project-driven environment.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliation, and payroll processing.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Familiarity with California labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements is an advantage .
