The Senior Copywriter conceptualizes, develops and writes compelling copy that promotes and supports Cedars-Sinai’s consumer and business-facing initiatives. Proven writing on effective campaigns and content across channels and media. Ability to synthesize medical and scientific information along with the realities of our patient and professional audiences to tell resonant, human and compelling stories.
Collaborates and works cross-functionally with internal partners in Marketing and Communications and Web Strategy as well as with external partners throughout Cedars-Sinai. Works closely with other members of the team to manage priorities, workflows and shared responsibilities to deliver a wide range of assets:
Ideate, research, pitch, develop and write content for patients, physicians and researchers that drive patient acquisition, staff recruitment, and continually improve the reputation of Cedars-Sinai.
Work effectively with art directors and designers to deliver strong, idea-driven work.
Translate complex biomedical concepts into compelling, human stories. Craft engaging, well-researched copy that moves and informs.
Relevant experience leading other writers and designers, as well as collaborating with agencies and vendors.
Produce high-value assets in support of departmental and organizational strategic priorities and goals. Ensure all content is compliant with Cedars-Sinai brand and copy standards.
Establish and maintain positive, effective relationships with team members, Marketing and Communications colleagues and partners, and Web Strategy colleagues and partners. Interact with physicians, patients and others in a professional and responsive manner, protecting patient privacy at all times.

Familiar with content strategy. Able to collaborate with strategists and leverage strategic plans.

Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism or another relevant major is required.
A minimum of seven years' experience writing, developing, and delivering impactful content and campaigns, preferably with relevant agency experience, required.
