This role leads a team of direct reports that enables Retail DSD success by developing P&L capability/acumen in field leaders, benchmarking and analyzing performance, defining/monitoring operational measures of effectiveness, identifying improvement opportunities and managing national improvement initiatives when applicable.
This role works cross functionally within sales (Perfect Store, Retail Transformation, Grocery/Walmart CBTs, Region Leadership Team) as well as functions outside sales (CS&L, Finance & NA/Global Strategy Teams) and is key to enabling Sales and Operational efficiencies.
How you will contribute
Guide and lead a team of system & subject matter experts enabling sales/operational efficiencies that manifest themselves through realized improvements in P&L performance.
Guide/lead project work and initiatives to solve complex business challenges that optimize Bottom-Line P&L performance from Gross Profit (COGs) to Operating Income.Bottom-Line examples include: Maximize labor efficiencies; liaison with CS&L to minimize Finished Goods waste; and optimize COGs through shared Sales/CS&L operational efficiencies.
Direct and prioritize initiatives while ensuring commitment to project timelines.
Provide oversight, direction and influence to the development, maintenance and enhancement of sales technology platforms (P&L Modeling Tool, GPS systems, Labor and other reporting dashboards etc.)
Lead a Continuous Improvement approach.This includes embedding analytical rigor regarding all aspects of the business and developing tools and processes to make sustainable improvements.
Track and report progress against targets. Effectively communicate project status to stakeholders at various levels of the organization (Field Sales, Sales Leadership, Project Steering Committee, Global Sales COE), drawing key insights on implementation and driving key decisions/actions.

General Management & Organizational Leadership Skills
Experience in customer service, logistics or sales
Cross-functional project management experience in a matrix environment
Basic knowledge of sales systems and tools (including SAP and MS Excel)
Solid communication and problem solving skills
4-year degree required
Minimum 3-5 years in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) experience
Minimum 3-5 years strong cross-functional project management experience in matrix environment
Minimum 3-5 years of people management/team leadership experience
Minimum 3-5 years experience operating in a total P&L ownership environment
