Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Goal: Support the student experience within the College as an initial point of contact for prospective and active students through in-bound phone calls, emails, and web chat.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Answer multiple incoming calls from prospective and active students to share detailed information and schedule appointments for all campuses.

  2. Ensure all student questions are answered and/or followed up with in a timely manner.

  3. Utilize Web Chat functionality to communicate directly with students.

  4. Develop a full understanding of the enrollment process within the college to provide accurate information to all inquiries.

  5. Provide exceptional customer service and outcomes that relate to Galen College of Nursing’s culture and core values.

  6. Other duties, as assigned, and logically associated with the goals and objectives of the College.

Position Requirements:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Prior experience in customer service may be accepted in lieu of education.

  • Experience : Minimum of two years of experience in a customer experience-based environment

  • Special Qualifications : Computer proficient with Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail. Able to maintain a customer-friendly demeanor. Able to work flexible hours including evenings and some weekends.

  • Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment : Must be able to sit at a desk for eight hours at a time. Ability to spend most of the day talking on the phone.

  • Degree of Supervision: Minimal.
