Stock Yards Bank & Trust Mortgage Loan Sub Servicing Specialist in Louisville, Kentucky

The Mortgage Loan Sub Servicing Specialist works daily in conjunction with servicing management in all aspects of managing the mortgage servicing portfolio and the relationship held with the third party servicing vendor. Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Process daily cash transmittal paymentsRequest and coordinate payoff statementsProvide documentation for release requestsUpload and wire daily board/escrow conversionsProcess payoff transmittals to vendorCoordinate and research all customer complaint issuesProcess all NSF payments, reversals and system updatesProcess and coordinate all unemployment bridge payments and activityProvide monthly accounting statements to third party vendorMaintain/update all MERS activity, maintain monthly spreadsheetMaintain MERS OB report monthlyMaintain MERS system to system reconciliation and MERS data field reconciliationAssist with audit preparation - preparation of documentation request and assisting with researchProcess investor advances and repaysInvestor reconciliationMonthly cash testsAssist with procedure/policies and compliance update maintenanceAssist with vendor management auditsBack up to servicing managerDaily front line support of system users which includes an understanding of mortgage servicing applications and functionalityPerform other duties as assigned to ensure sufficient and effective functioning of the work unitComply with all internal policies and procedures and Federal and State regulations and guidanceWorks with outside vendors to develop enhancements to existing systems along with testing said enhancementsPerform other duties as assigned to ensure sufficient and effective functioning of the work unitComply with all internal policies and procedures and Federal and State regulations and guidanceJob Requirements The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred or related work experience equivalentSix months to one year of experience in an office environment5 years demonstrated mortgage servicing experiencePrevious management experience in a servicing role desiredStrong written and verbal skillsAdvanced knowledge of Fannie Mae investor reportingMust be detail oriented and customer service focusedAbility to learn quickly and adapt to an ever changing environmentStrong knowledge of software and technology with the ability to adapt to new software applicationsBasic understanding of computer programming or systems programming a plus, but not requiredProject management skills a plus, but not requiredAbility to function in a fast-paced, team-based environmentAbility to work with other managers to facilitate and promote growthAbility to effectively motivate and develop employees and foster a positive work environmentAbility to analyze information to identify potential problems within the servicing areaExperience with workout options such as modifications, deed-in-lieu, short sales, repayment plans, etc and repurchase provisionsBenefits401(k) with a company match of up to 6%ESOP employer matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceCancer / Disease insuranceAccident insuranceFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings AccountsBank paid Life / AD& D insuranceVoluntary Life / AD&D insuranceBank paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insuranceEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
