Humana Process Improvement Co-Op/Intern in Louisville, Kentucky

The Process Improvement Co-op role offers the opportunity to support our Agile Transformation efforts, Lean Portfolio Management, Enterprise Portfolio Management, and Enterprise Portfolio Delivery Governance initiatives, while also providing real world business experience. Ideal candidates will be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have a keen interest in Lean & Six Sigma methodologies, process optimization, and agile practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Implementation of process improvement projects: Assist in the deployment of Lean & Agile methodologies to streamline processes and enhance efficiency across various initiatives.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data to support process improvement initiatives and provide actionable insights.

  • Document Processes and Findings: Maintain clear documentation of processes, findings, and recommendations to support project transparency and stakeholder communication.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with different functional teams to implement Lean and Agile practices

  • Participate in Training Sessions: Engage in available workshops and training sessions to enhance your understanding of Agile methodologies or Portfolio Practices.

  • Presentation of Solutions: Develop and present solutions to improve processes to management and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field.

  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher is preferred.

  • Must be able to work part time or full time Monday-Friday for a minimum of 4-6 months from start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eager to apply their academic knowledge in practical settings and learn from real-world challenges

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Experience: Previous internship or project experience in process improvement or related fields is a plus

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$31,200 - $85,100 per year
