We are seeking a Staff Accountant in Louisville, Kentucky. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom provider industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will primarily be involved in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger functions.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice generation, recording payments, and pursuing outstanding debts

• Conduct regular Bank Reconciliations to verify the company's records match the bank's records

• Maintain the General Ledger, recording all business transactions and ensuring they are classified correctly

• Prepare Journal Entries as needed for financial transactions and events

• Participate in the Month End Close process, assisting in the preparation of financial statements

• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform accounting duties and maintain financial records.

Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Proven experience in the role of a Staff Accountant or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations is required

• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries accurately

• Must have experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks is required

• Knowledge of Oracle financial software applications is necessary

• Experience with QuickBooks is a must

• Prior experience with SAP financial software applications is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Keen attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
