CompuCom Windows Level II Systems Administrator (2nd Shift) in Louisville, Kentucky

Our client is currently seeking a Level 2 Windows Systems Administrator to join their team working the 2 nd Shift. This resource can work remote following EST hours or onsite in KY. Virtual desktop and application management and troubleshooting of complex issues highly desired but not required for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deploy, monitor, and manage hybrid data center compute resources
Focus on Windows, Unix, or both operating systems, as well as basic interactions and management of established cloud technology back-ends such as AWS EC2, Azure Virtual Servers, Hyper-V, and VMWare Hybrid Architectures
Implement security and compliance patching activities for server equipment, thus ensuring the data and computing resources are secured and in stable condition
Deploy packages and / or patches through SCCM and / or WSUS to server and / or workstation target collections
Provide feedback to Knowledge Management Practice owner for work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures; assist with knowledge creation
Escalate complex issues to senior systems administrators
Interface with technology vendors to solve complex challenges
Perform Active Directory activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting objects, and / or security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications
Participate in major incident calls as first line of response
Monitors work pipelines in ServiceNow as well as email and hotline for incoming or pending Incidents, Requests, and Change tasks
Manage workloads and ensure defined metrics are met daily
Monitor hardware and hosted software performance, firmware versions and security compliance, as suggested by senior technical teams and vendor recommendations
Engage hardware vendor to replace hardware when needed and deploy OS and firmware patches by following organizational change enablement standards
Perform Active Directory object creation, updates, retirements, migration, and access control management tasks
Resolve any reported incidents and participate in troubleshooting calls with the incident management team as well as client technical groups
Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum 3+ years of experience in related field
Datacenter experience or senior Desktop support experience
Client / Dell server certifications or any other server certifications
Microsoft certifications
Technical Competencies in
VMWare vCenter
Microsoft 365
Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policy
SCCM, WSUS
Windows and / or Linux-based server operating systems
Client / Dell physical server knowledge
Some AD administration experience - Active Directory
Group policy / group object experience
Understanding of Network Topologies Transfer protocols
Microsoft Office products knowledge
Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing technical information
Able to operate effectively in a team environment, coordinate efforts with other team members
Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve problems
Able to operate independently
Able to operate under tight deadlines and manage one's time
