HS Diploma/GED. Possess a valid driver's license. Day and night shift, (6:00am-6:00pm).Can not have a conviction nor a plea of guilty or nolo contendere, probation, pre-trial diversion or payment of any fine for a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude. Individuals discharged from the Armed Forces must have served under honorable conditions and not been removed from the service under a dishonorable or bad conduct discharge. Will maintain custody, care and control of all inmates. Monitor inmate activities and enforce security departmental policies and procedures. Will supervise inmates in living areas, recreation activities and inmate/visitor contact during visitation in the visitation area. Serve as control center officer, coordinating and monitoring inmate movement, conduct counts and provided emergency response. Serve as medical security, perimeter security, date officer as required. Provides security in treatment activities and supervises labor crew in kitchen and other specialized areas. Ensure prompt and appropriate assistance to inmates in the event of injury, illness and emotional trauma. Prepares reports and maintains daily logs as required. Initiates disciplinary reports. Conduct shakedown for contraband materials, either individually or as part of a specialized team. Promotes facility cleanliness and reports need for maintenance and/or repairs.
