Job Overview:
In this role, you’ll be a key member of our Inspection team helping to inspect and finalize a variety of parts and products for commercial and military aircraft. You’ll be part of our team environment that’s using lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes.
Essential Responsibilities :
Read and interpret assembly and machine detail part blueprints, specifications, GD&T, and other quality documents pertaining to the manufacture of products produced or purchased.
Use inspection instruments including CMM’s (MCOSMOS software), optical comparators, micrometers, gauge blocks, calipers, and indicators to measure precision machined aircraft components.
Perform necessary mathematical calculations as required with minimum amount of training.
Conduct diversity of inspections which may include first article inspections, receivinginspection, final inspection of machined parts and final assemblies, first piece inspections, and in-process sampling.
Assist machinists with checking dimensions that cannot be measured at the machine.
Check parts for conformity to processes and specifications.
Follow standardized procedures with allowable variations defined.
Devise ordinary gaging/measuring setups.
Generate detailed non-conformance records for non-conforming machined parts or assemblies.
Shift:
Tuesday through Friday from 6:00am to 4:30pm CST
Requirements include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
Ability to understand blueprints, machining process sheets, and shop specifications.
Eyesight correctable to 20/20 required.

Demonstrated ability with computer systems.
Strong documentation skills to record inspection characteristics and data.
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Driven learner interested in improving their skills and processes.
Maintain a positive can-do attitude that drives team collaboration.
Ability to manage time during multiple inspections in addition to other duties.
Ability to work with a multitude of teams, including machinists, inspectors, and engineers.
Proven ability to work without supervision; ability to work independently with some assistance from senior operators
Ability to set up and operate most test equipment
