Primary Responsibility:

The Engineering and Maintenance Manager 2 (EMM-2) manages the daily maintenance activities across multiple warehouses and/or at a single larger warehouse with greater complexities. Typically, these warehouses are composed of a 400,000 square feet or larger footprint, a material handling fleet of 50 or more assets and may include other operational activities/equipment for repacking, E-Commerce or automation as examples. This position maintains safe, compliant, reliable and functional facilities by directing installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems for refrigerated warehouses.

What You'll Do:

Directs and assigns work; sets performance objectives and monitors the performance of all Engineering and Maintenance (EandM) associates. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual maintenance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions. Supports operations productivity by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. Designs, implements, and modifies preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics, inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards. Ensures compliance with all OSHA regulations and PSM requirements.

What Experience and Education You Need :

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Associates Degree or Higher relevant to facility maintenance preferred. CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) or similar certification preferred. Completion of all eight (8) RETA courses preferred, RETA CARO or CIRO or equivalent preferred. Experience working 5-7 years in maintenance with at least 3 years' directly managing or supervising the work of others.

What Could Set You Apart :

Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance principles and best practices. Ability to manage employees and contractors. Frequently works overtime, evenings, or weekends in order to complete work or to attend meetings. Must be willing to travel up to 5-10% for development, training and other requests as needed. Knowledge of SAP or Oracle CMMS platforms preferred.

Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks May require travel by automobile and airplane for business May required working in temperatures at or below freezing May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds Requires the use of various electronic tools Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management
