Heilind Mil-Aero, LLC Contracts Analyst in Lumberton, New Jersey

JOB SUMMARY

The Contracts Analyst reports to the Contracts Manager within the Risk Management division and will be responsible for the review of proposals, contracts, and related activities for Heilind Mil-Aero, LLC (Interstate Connecting Components and Trek Connect) in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This role shall include management of contract-related functions, including acting as liaison between the company, staff, customers, vendors, and contractors to assist in implementing policies and procedures consistent with legal, regulatory, and ethical practices; and ensure proper document management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.

  • Reviews solicitations, customer and supplier contracts, NDAs, PIAs and prepares contract terms and conditions responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
  • Coordinates contract terms and conditions review and response with the Customer Project Coordinator, Sales Manager, Engineering, and Operations and incorporates their input into the proposal or contract modification.
  • Serves as a point of contact for internal and external customers on contractual matters by acting as contractual mediator between staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Works with Contracts Manager to identify and resolve key areas of risk, interfacing with relevant stakeholders in negotiations and decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Works with Sales, Quality, Product Management, and Compliance teams to implement internal standards and responses for contract related activities.
  • Reviews and interprets U.S. Government and Federal Procurement requirements consistent with business activities and applicable laws including FAR/DFARS.
  • Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies, and procedures.
  • Provides guidance regarding day-to-day queries relating to contracts.
  • Assists in providing relevant contracts regulation training to various cross-functional team members as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, law, or closely related field is required with 5-7 years of contracts management experience. Applicants who do not possess the required education must have 10 plus years of contracts management experience.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US Citizen due to US Navy Contractual Agreements.
  • Must be able to report to assigned office location, (Lumberton, NJ) during scheduled in-office workdays.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have working knowledge of relevant state and government laws and regulations including FAR/DFARS.
  • Must be extremely thorough and detail oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently on projects.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard). The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
