As a Maintenance Facilities Technician at Wayfair you will be supporting the smooth operation of our facilities, supporting day-to-day operations and contributing to cost-saving initiatives. Based out of our Lutterworth, Magna Park fulfilment centre you will be responsible for completing routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings and building systems and escalating for additional assistance as is needed.
In addition, you will also be supporting the Maintenance Engineering Team with complex issues, enabling further development, coaching and gathering additional skills through ‘Real Time’ learning & feedback.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, in a timely and effective manner.
Providing support to Maintenance Engineers with more complex and challenging issues.
Liaising with contractors for specific maintenance assignments.
Ensuring compliance with planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
Maintaining an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Conducting portable appliance testing (PAT) as required.
Supporting internal projects, including cost-saving initiatives.
Work both independently and as part of an established team
Requirements:
Ideally you will already have a background in general maintenance, facilities, electrical and plumbing systems, and contractor management.
Naturally inquisitive, with a problem solving outlook.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks to deadlines.
Confident user of navigating IT systems and applications
