Amazon Manager, Business Analytics, Data and Analytics in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

We are looking for an experienced Analytics Manager to help setup and deliver robust, structured reporting, and analytics for the all the areas included in the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) organization. You will be a key contributor to shaping our strategic streams by equipping the business with tools and insights to drive the different projects and take business decisions.

The growth of the business and the increasing complexity of the European transportation network make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition.

You will have an eye for detail, are proficient in SQL and have a knack for solving challenging data and reporting challenges. The role requires you to feel comfortable working with and clearly communicating with other functional teams, regionally and globally.

Key job responsibilities

• Collecting, analyzing and coordinating quantitative data and creating meaningful reports/dashboards to define business improvement and cost reductions

• Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then assisting the business improve and creating new measures

• Recommending, developing, and implementing policies, processes and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its current position and profitability

• Establishing and maintaining accurate operating and business metrics

• Providing and communicating reporting and analysis to senior stakeholders

• Partner with senior business stakeholders to define prioritization and quarterly roadmap of projects

• Developing the right performance indicators and maintaining them at scale

• Working with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely

• Handling complex priorities and providing level-headed guidance during ambiguous/unexpected events.

• Lead projects by overseeing timelines, priorities, auditing quality and resolving issues.

• Onboard, develop and mentor team members in areas of financial reporting for accuracy, create best practice materials and promote knowledge sharing

A day in the life

Our Analytics Managers at this level take a hands-on role to boost our business performance and efficiency. You’ll collaborate with partners in different areas of our business to provide insights on improvements in our operational performance. That will involve deep diving into data, managing our planning processes, and giving team members guidance on more ambiguous areas of our operations and performance. You’ll also help other teams across the EU to gain access to vital insights and to collaborate.

You’ll manage or mentor people and work closely with partners to help inform and guide their key decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

  • Proven experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role

  • Experience leading a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and/or Business Analysts

  • Highly skilled at querying relational databases, ability to pull from various sources and having done so in a business environment

  • Experience in data visualization platforms

  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills

  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and data presentation) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

  • Experience conducting advanced statistical analysis (skilled in using one or more of R/SPSS/SAS/Python and etc.)
