Description
The sheer growth of the business and the company's mission "to be Earth’s most customer-centric company” makes the customer fulfillment business bigger and more complex with each passing year.
The EU S&OP team forecasts inventory flows to and from each country - what Amazon receives from its vendors/sellers, and what it ships from its Fulfillment Centers (FCs). We are also responsible for measuring S&OP performance, and driving continuous improvement in the tools and methods used by S&OP teams to plan local networks, optimizing for reliability, speed, cost and sustainability. We work closely with Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) teams in North America, who own the systems and the inputs we rely on to plan our networks, and with our internal EU stakeholders in Transportation, Retail and Finance teams.
Within the EU Supply Chain, the engineering team is in charge of developing new products in partnership with SCOT and sustaining the existing ones that help drive improvements in S&OP accuracy, automation, and cost reduction. You will be in charge of building new products with automated data pipelines and processes for all the S&OP operations teams relying on us.
This is a hybrid BIE/PM role, requiring both leading cross-functional project work-streams and delivering analytical insights.
Key job responsibilities
• Perform deep dives and data analysis needed to bring the analytical insights needed in the development of product, models.
• Partner with Tech Stakeholders (SCOT & other internal teams) to build product vision and improvement road-map
• Design automated BI solutions for recurrent reporting & product diagnostics.
• Ensure data accessibility and quality checks on existing data product, all in alignment with Product Strategy
• Passion to work on innovative ideas. Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
About the team
The S&OP product development team has following three goals:
Sustain existing products through bug fixes.
Improve existing products Y-o-Y through new features.
Build new products in-house.
Basic Qualifications
Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience with SQL
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Experience in the data/BI space
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
