The IT Hardware Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for the enterprise-wide management of end user assets (PCs, iPhones, iPads, Accessories, etc) with primary focus on maintaining a hyper accurate CMDB in ServiceNow. The role will require knowledge of hardware inventory management, PC refresh scheduling, Procurement of hardware, and solid understanding of the PC life cycle from purchase to e-wasting and recycling. This key role will require prior significant experience with ServiceNow or other establish ITSM system. We are looking for an analyst who possesses the technical skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse set of technical resources. The successful candidate will have been a contributor in a large enterprise with 2 to 4 years of experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus will be the population and auditing of the ServiceNow CMBD.

  • Tasks will include procuring, gathering procurement data, license data, EOL and EOS data, contract data, warranty information, license assignment and all related financial information.

  • Review and analyze ServiceNow Incidents and Requests as it relates hardware assets

  • Do data validation between all systems of record

  • Manage preparation and distribution of pre-defined and ad-hoc reports; identify and recommend hardware that has the potential to be harvested or replaced with lower cost alternatives.

  • Perform PC deployment numbers by manufacturer and model type.

  • Provide data insights that assist with PC, iPhone, iPad replacement schedules.

  • Monitor changes assets during their life in the environment. Alert stakeholders to changes that are relevant to them.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain integrity of software asset data.

  • Identify and report on potential issues with Pacific Life’s asset tracking tools, Flexera and ServiceNow. Report on issues with all supporting systems and input. Develop and maintain Hardware Asset Management related program and process documentation.

  • Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • The desired candidate will be detail and task oriented while at the same time capable of seeing the broader picture.

  • Capable of designing, developing, and generating reports to communicate and monitor compliance, liability, and budgetary data for software applications.

  • 2-4+ years of experience in hardware management, associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and VL Lookups.

  • Prior experience with software tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, and Nexthink.

  • Should possess a solid understanding of IT Asset Management software management policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Experience using HAM tools to update the CMDB well as the knowledge of how to manually reconcile data.

  • Solid interpersonal, collaboration, communication and relationship skills delivering a positive customer experience.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.

  • Experience with data analysis tools including Excel and Power BI.

  • Familiar with contract/agreement review and accurate interpretation.

  • Capable of working independently and able to handle multiple priorities.

  • Candidates with IAITAM certifications: Certified Software Asset Manager - CSAM, Certified Asset Manager Professional – CAMP will be preferred, but not required.
