SAIC Cyber Infrastructure Engineer Tier III in MACDILL AFB, Florida
Cybersecurity Engineer (Tier III) will lead/support a team of cyber system and network engineers to successfully deliver significant infrastructure change in a large-scale enterprise environment. This position requires the use of collaborative leadership skills to influence others, with or without direct authority, and to unite groups with diverse perspectives in order to bring teams to consensus/alignment.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with excellent written/verbal communication skills, able to work with minimal supervision. Candidate will have an eye for detail, and a systematic working style with the ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organizational structure. Must be self-confident with strength in leading people.
Thisposition requires both broad and deep working knowledge of technologies used insystem and network engineering design and maintenance.
Provideoverall enterprise cyber systems and infrastructure systems planning,operations and maintenance, and management.
Manage cybersystems, tools, applications and infrastructures for operational networks, ofmultiple security classification levels.
Performanalyses on networks to discover and document the baseline.
Supportplanning and execution of cyber system and infrastructure installations andhardware upgrades.
Performengineering trouble shooting/problem solving at the system and componentlevels.
Conductpreventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting/problem resolution ona wide range of technologies such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems(IDS), Proxies, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), cloud security and othersecurity applications.
Use networkanalysis tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Stealthwatch, etc.).
Provideadvanced technical analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges and problems;develop/identify technical solutions responsive to customer needs.
Support animproved infrastructure information security vulnerability posture through theperformance of cybersecurity assessments and analyses.
Strongworking knowledge and understanding of 802.1X technologies, primarily CiscoIdentity Services.
Ability towork projects and task independently without supervision.
Concurrentlymanage the infrastructure build-out on multiple initiatives.
Responsiblefor assembling or supporting project team, assigning individualresponsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed and developingschedule to ensure timely completion of project and meeting interim deadlinesof project.
Mentor newhires through on boarding process and assists with project management tools,templates and processes.
Assigns andmonitors work of technical personnel providing support and interpretation ofinstructions/objectives.
Managecompliance with all IT governance standards through approved tools, templates,policies, procedures and process leanings.
Bachelor Degree and 9+ years of experience; OR, High School equivalent and 13+ years of experience.
Candidate must have a Top Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
Candidate is highly encouraged to have or acquire CCNA certification, within six months of hiring.
Security + CE is required.
Cisco router and switch networking experience required.
A current U.S. passport is required.Must be willing to deploy OCONUS (if required)
Prior Cybersecurity experience as senior analyst or engineer is required.
Must be able to clearly articulate and document system and network changes.
Must be able to plan and coordinate changes through formally documented plans (e.g. Microsoft Project or Agile methodology)
Must be proficient with Microsoft Visio.
Experience with ASA Firewalls
Linux System Administration Experience is highly preferred
