Fudge/Candy Maker. 4 temporary, full-time positions. 1 Apr 2025 to 31 Oct 2025. Mackinac Chocolate Co. LLC DBA Sanders Candy on Mackinac located at 7330 Main Street, Mackinac Island, MI, 49757. sanderscandies@yahoo.com. Set up, operate, and tend to equipment that cooks, mixes, blends for processing ingredients in the manufacturing of food products according to formulas or recipes, using a pedal or an agitator or controlling vats that heat and mix ingredients. Performs various Selling / Customer Service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance and direction to customers. Demonstrate product to customers. Replenish product on shelves as required per Merchandising guidelines. Remains Product "expert" through ongoing product knowledge training. Responsible for preparation of fudge to include mixing, pouring, and cutting by strictly adhering to recipe guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines. Follow proper personal hygiene and sanitation standards as set by health department and Ecosure standards. Follow proper food storage, handling and preparation guidelines. Ensure all guests receive the highest quality food items served from an immaculate kitchen in a timely manner. Assist with "Seasonal" floor merchandise moves. Restock merchandise as required. Keep the work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies. Operate computerized Point of Sale register system. 35 hours per week. Varying number of hours per workday depending on shift.? 8AM-11PM. Shift & Days Vary. OT hours possible. High school education is required, 12 months experience is required. The employee will not supervise other workers. Travel will not be required. Wage: 15.82/hr OT Wage: $23.73/hr. Workers paid biweekly. Optional board/lodging available at a cost to be deducted from pay if elected. Cost of housing: $100 per week. On the job training provided. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers' reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $15.88/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts. H2B Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job, and guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of total employment period.
