SUMMARY Responsible for negotiating and purchasing materials, equipment, and parts from vendors. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures regarding machining, tooling and engineering processes. Relies on instructions, pre-established guidelines, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in order to perform the functions of the job. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Associates Degree and/or 3-5 years experience in a related field or an equivalent amount of education and/or experience in a related field.
- Experience and knowledge of tooling, robotics, and assembly required
- Exposure to Body-in-White preferred.
- Experience with ERP computer software.
- Negotiating experience relating to price and delivery achieving a proven track record on results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Expedite and enter updated material into Business Management systems.
- Perform tasks as required with the Business Management systems.
- Enter into software application various quotes, pricing, etc.
- Perform quoting, ordering and the purchasing process assigned products.
