Job Summary
Manages and coordinates the overall operations within a department of the warehouse. Develops strategy and goals that align with SEA strategy and goals for ongoing as well as future operations of the warehouse.
Responsibilities and Duties
Maintains product flow according to set, standard lead times set out by the Warehouse Manager.
Recommend new/improved equipment upgrades or redesigns that may improve the end quality of product, safety, or improved efficiencies through the manufacturing process as well as reduced scrap.
Inventory basic replacement products – primarily pots/fuses/switches – plus common motors, boards, heater elements, etc.
Maintains physical condition of their department area of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, overseeing equipment inspections, etc.
Maintains staff by assisting in recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
Develops staff to meet daily performance goals by assisting in coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job performance.
Contributes to warehouse goals by accomplishing and meeting daily metrics related to the overall performance of Warehouse objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum high school education or equivalent.
Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge and experience in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Microsoft, and general computer software is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to effectively communicate with a variety of personnel throughout the organization.
Physical Requirements
Ability to squat, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to regularly handle tools and operate equipment.
Ability to feel or operate objects, tools or controls.
Ability to see. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
