Bard Manufacturing Maintenance Technician (2nd shift) in Madison, Georgia

Job Descriptions:

Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician at the Madison, GA facility.

2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 4:30PM - 3:00AM

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:

  • Uses hand or power tools to troubleshoot, set up, changeover, and tear down machinery and equipment.

  • Repairs or replaces worn or defective parts.

  • Adjusts functional parts for performance and clearances.

  • Tests equipment performance.

  • Installs power wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment.

  • Connects and tests power wires.

  • Diagnoses failed equipment such as motors, wiring, PLC, I/O modules, and power supplies.

  • Repairs and replaces failed electrical equipment such as motors, wiring, PLC modules, and power supplies.

  • Uses meters and electrical test equipment to troubleshoot problems.

  • Troubleshoots and programs AC and DC drive systems.

  • Replaces faulty components such as boards and cables.

  • Diagnoses and corrects mechanical problems involving gears, chain and belt drives, and presses.

  • Performs preventative maintenance on machines in compliance with ISO regulations.

  • Follows all company safety rules and procedures.

  • Maintains good housekeeping levels in the Maintenance department/work area.

  • Performs activities in accordance with the procedures outlined in the work instructions.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Industrial Electricity or equivalent certification program; plus 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing and facilities maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read wiring schematics and wiring diagrams and determine material and replacement needs

  • Ability to size and wire electrical circuits in accordance with the NEC and/or manufacturer’s specification.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Knowledge of power transmissions and components.

  • Ability to define problems by collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

  • Demonstrated skills with power tools and welding equipment

  • Hands on experience with trouble shooting and repair of hydraulic systems, electrical/electronic systems, pneumatics

  • PC skills

  • An aptitude test is required for this position to evaluate level of skill and ability.
