Westinghouse Electric Company Manager, Steam Generator Resources in Madison, Pennsylvania

We currently have an opportunity for a Manager, Steam Generator Project Support and Training to lead the resource management of field project support and supplemental work force. In addition, there will be collaboration between our operation group to accurately define the demand and project needs to align the resource skills and qualifications to the project demand. This would be accomplished through development plans of internal and external resources to meet a dynamic resource demand and personnel development. The role involves an integrated day-to-day operation with the field projects and our supplemental resource vendors to ensure that there is smooth operation of the projects while complying with the commercial agreements. In parallel, the role will involve a knowledge of steam generator testing to support the various qualifications and certifications required for the primary and secondary product lines. Preference would be for this candidate to be on site at our Waltz Mill location in Madison, PA. Other locations that will be considered are Cranberry Township, PA and Chattanooga, TN.

Day-to-Day Responsibility Coordinate and assist various groups to manage primary contracts with Key supplier(s) Lead discussions and coordinate staffing needs for multiple product lines across internal and external groups. Develop training budget and schedule to ensure resources are properly qualified for the field related qualifications. Coordinate between multiple organization group to schedule resource and resolve conflicts. Coordinate external training with primary and support vendor(s). Manage and document qualification training records. Manage and facilitate purchase order to outside vendors and resolve invoicing issue. Coordinate On-boarding of contractors and managing WEC time entry system issues. Monitor employee utilization, schedule, and development of personnel. Collaborate with project leaders and operations managers to ensure staffing requirements are defined. Assigning available staff to projects based on their skills and experience. Work directly with the project managers to ensure staff augmentation personnel support on-time and resolve any issues in a timely manner. Work in a group setting to build cost sheets for projects and develop staffing plans to meet demand. Develop field resource plan for future project for internal and external requirements. Hire internal resources (seasonal and full-time) to support business needs.

Who You Are: 4-year Degree bachelor design in Project Manager or Engineering required 2-4 years of project manager working knowledge of scheduling and working with small groups 3+ years of Resource Management SAP knowledge for managing costs and qualifications Working Knowledge of Outage & Field Services, a plus with Steam Generator knowledge and experience Working Knowledge of Project Management of staff augmentation projects or equipment Willing to travel to sites periodically/as needed during outage season to support teams. Recommended Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in SAP financial and qualification modules Communication Skills (Verbally and written) Critical thought to support urgent requests and innovative concepts to meet budget constraints and actions.
