Analyst, Quality Control - Laboratory Trainer
The Quality Control (QC) team is responsible for testing products, raw materials and the manufacturing environment to ensure the Safety, Quality, Identity, Purity and Potency produced by the Catalent Madison Biologics facility.
This position requires a variety of skills necessary for biotech company operations. Independently perform routine and complex testing of process samples, raw materials, and finished products, while adhering to SOPs and working in a cGMP compliant environment. Analyze and interpret results in written and oral format. Additionally, this position will support Preventative Maintenance and basic Laboratory maintenance activities while maintaining a GMP quality system. Other duties will include training and mentorship of junior staff and contributions to process improvement initiatives.
Our new, state of the art Madison, WI facility, with expanded mammalian cell line engineering and biomanufacturing capabilities utilizing single-use systems, offers increased flexibility and manufacturing scale to support our customers’ growth. We offer a broad range of integrated formulation and analytical services to solve your most difficult development challenges in Biologics.

Perform hands on training for various biopharmaceutical analytical techniques.
Generate quality control laboratory training content.
Ensure training program in Quality Control department is continually improved.
Coordinate training between trainees and department subject matter experts.
Perform laboratory work if needed.
Actively participates in team meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
B.S./B.A. in Biotechnology, or related field, with minimum of 3 years’ experience in related QA/QC position.
Knowledge of chromatography, Standard Operating Procedures, and FDA regulations.
3 years of QC experience; lab experience preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred knowledge includes some of the following: HPLC, CE-SDS, cIEF, ELISA, Microbiology testing.
Must be detail oriented and able to deal with multiple and changing priorities.
Familiar with cGMP documentation practices.
Strongly prefers QC lab experience; 5 years+ preferred
