Animal Care staff provide routine and specialized animal husbandry and facility maintenance. We offer additional hourly pay for all 3 levels of AALAS certification, overtime opportunities, and flexible schedules after passing the probationary period. Experience is welcomed but not necessary as we provide on the job training you need. This position will function independently and be knowledgeable in animal handling of multiple species. This position will be responsible for performing routine and specialized animal husbandry tasks and general facility maintenance for Biomedical Research Model Services (BRMS). These duties include general animal husbandry, feeding and watering animals, monitoring animal room environments, cleaning primary and secondary enclosures, receiving animals, transporting animals, restraining and handling animals, reporting sick and injured animals, general facility maintenance and housekeeping. ACT positions interact with investigators and veterinary staff as required. Other duties to be assigned by the supervisor.
