JOB REQUIREMENTS: Health Unit Coordinator - University Hospital (Ongoing) - 32386 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to: * Provide support to the unit by assisting front desk tasks and proving customer service to all. * Assist with administrative work (answering phones, organizing files, ordering supplies, patient paperwork, etc.). * Maintain control and order under stressful conditions and periods of high unit activity, while utilizing effective and respectful communication with patients, families, and the health care team. Work Schedule : * The hours consist of days and evenings, between 6:00am - 11:30pm for 8 or 12 hour durations. * Rotating weekends. * Hours may vary based on the needs of the department. We are seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to: * Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to support patient care. * Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate all aspects of patient care including patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. * Use high level of attention to detail to maintain accurate electronic health records and perform other duties of a clerical nature. * Maintain control and order under stressful conditions and periods of high unit activity, while utilizing effective and respectful communication with patients, families, and the health care team.
