JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Teach CSD 202 Hearing Science (3 credits) online during the eight-week summer session to undergraduate students. CSD 202 focuses on the physical acoustics of sound, the anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, and the psychology related to hearing, known as psychoacoustics. The lecturer will be responsible for instructional development and design of the online course content. They will prepare and administer evaluation exercises (exams, quizzes, and other projects) and determine all grades for enrolled students, as well as hold office hours to address student questions; the lecture will also prepare a syllabus prior to the first day of class and select a text book (if appropriate) for the class. This course will be taught entirely online. Responsibilities: Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading.
