Job Description Summary: Accuray is looking for an intern student to join our Manufacturing Engineering team during summer of 2025. In this role, you would help develop cutting-edge medical device technology that treats cancer while working with collaborative teams to perform technical activities that impact the design of our radiation therapy products. Make your first mark in the fight against cancer by joining our collaborative team and impact our radiation therapy products during this intern placement in Manufacturing Engineering. We will introduce you as an engineering student to Medical Device Manufacturing Engineering under FDA Title 21 and ISO 13485 regulations. By the end of the internship, you will have contributed to such areas as: component inspection plans, assembly & test process development, process documentation, bills of materials structuring, test fixture development, component refurbishment processing, process validation, failure investigation, and engineering change management (ECOs). You\'ll work with Product Development Engineers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Supply Chain Managers, Assembly & Test Technicians, Technical Writers and some suppliers. This is a great opportunity to use and grow your understanding of engineering concepts and learn new skills as you perform Manufacturing Engineering duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: New Product Integration (NPI) Define and evaluate results of first article inspections. Develop requirements for ongoing received materials. Develop plans, layouts, processes for in-process product. Develop intermediate and final product test protocols based on design requirements. Create and validate new work instructions and new test records. Develop and validate new tooling and test devices.
