13809BRDepartment Name:MLI Point of Service Location:Meriter Hospital Job Description: Responsible for management of Point of Care (POC) testing performed at UnityPoint Health Meriter Hospital and to ensure all POC testing sites are in compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.

Serves as the Safety Officer for the laboratory and manages the laboratory safety program.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology or Biological Science

  • At least 2-years’ experience in a moderate-complexity laboratory

    Preferred Requirements:

  • Formal training in hazardous materials safety and/or hazardous waste management

  • Experience in a POC or safety role in moderate to high complexity laboratory

  • ASCP or equivalent
