JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The School of Pharmacy is seeking a research specialist to join the Johnson Lab. This position is focused on improving our understanding of protective mechanisms designed to mitigate the development and progression of Alzheimer\'s disease. Candidates selected for this role will have a tangible scientific impact through utilization of skills such as animal handling, tissue collection and processing, biochemical assays, sectioning of tissues and immunohistochemical staining, DNA/RNA isolation, and PCR/RT-PCR. This position will also gain experience in lab management, with oversight of the laboratory\'s inventories, storage facilities, and general laboratory supplies. Apply now and join us! Responsibilities: Develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision. 65% Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test results 15% Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area.
