Job Description

JOB FUNCTION:

The Key Account Manager is responsible for leading and managing key accounts, developing local strategic customer relationships to grow the business within compliance and legal requirements. This includes driving performance through delivery of product and therapeutic knowledge, detailing to prescribers, and negotiating sales terms with hospital pharmacies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Therapy & Product Liaison: Deliver agreed strategy and tactics within the key accounts to drive performance. Run high-level scientific meetings and serve as the key contact for national product training and therapy support.

  • Account Management: Formulate comprehensive key account plans to build and manage trustful relationships while maximizing performance. Ensure product availability, support market access, and develop innovative offerings to meet account needs.

  • Commercial Excellence: Prioritize and manage accounts, adapt strategies based on market changes, analyze sales and competitors, and share best practices among the KAM team.

  • Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with external partners and engage in collaboration with internal teams to ensure alignment and coordination.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

Education & Experience

  • B.Sc. Degree or equivalent.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated analytical ability and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proficiency in interpreting complex scientific data and maintaining a high level of knowledge on current trials and treatments.

  • Mastery in engaging, influencing, and developing relationships with customers.

  • Physical Demands & Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally for meetings, audits, and training.

  • Valid and clean driver's license.
