Role Overview: As the Engineering Coordinator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the pristine condition of our resort's physical plant and ensuring all systems operate efficiently. You will oversee a team of skilled technicians and manage maintenance projects to uphold Waldorf Astoria's high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the engineering team, ensuring all tasks are completed promptly and to the highest standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of the resort's facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests from various departments.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Oversee the procurement of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and special projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury resort setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Diploma or degree in engineering or a related field.
