Stantec is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant with a solid understanding of project accounting principles and experience with strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and within a team, thrive in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity is located in Manila, Philippines.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service and a customer-centric focus, while providing a quality of work that consistently meets or exceeds expectations
Collaborate with Stantec's finance team in Pune, India to ensure timely delivery and accurate completion of tasks they support.
Review, enter, and track subcontractor invoices.
Prepare internal and external audit support and respond to inquiries from PA Leadership and Finance Managers.
Independently organize and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Escalate concerns/issues to PAL as required.
Build strong relationships with and serve as a trusted advisor to our internal business partners including Project Managers (PM) and Project Controls Specialists (PCS).
Job Requirements
Working knowledge and understanding of project accounting principles
Experience with professional services billing and accounts payable processing
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Office
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP a plus, but not required
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or other related courses or 3-5 years of relevant experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills, must possess a professional manner and customer service mindset
Ability to work the night shift schedule.
