Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries RF Product Line Technology Development is seeking an experienced professional to support the 300mm semiconductor process integration team in Malta, New York. The primary responsibility of this position is to assess and drive mitigation of risk for New Technology Development, New Product Designs, and Special Projects. The major risks being, defect generation, yield loss, degradation of performance, new tooling requirements, and project scope creep. All these factors are critical to New Technology Development and New Product Introductions into Fab8 to meet GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ Customer technology roadmap requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Feature-rich process development in various technologies including FINFET technologies, FDSOI, and eNVM
Collaborating with process modules & other Design Technology Enablement teams in driving process solutions
Working with TSD & BU to oversee the scope of projects and ensure that all technical needs are catered to
Critically assess positive and negative interactions of design layout, technology design-rules and processes
Critically assess positive and negative interactions of new technology elements, with current processes
Assessment criteria include those listed above, plus influence on electrical or reliability performance.
Interact successfully with external customers on technical subjects
Candidates will be expected to work closely with Yield, New Product Introduction, and Customer Engineering organizations to meet all customer technology and company cost and revenue goals.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Education – Graduating with PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or related field from an accredited degree program.
Experience of leading engineer team, developing and delivering advanced technology for mass production
Strong project management skills, particularly focused on managing schedules, scope and cost trade-offs of projects
Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the FEOL/BEOL process with FinFET and FDSOI technology is plus.
Deep understanding of Design rules, Defect reduction, Testsite creation and validation, Chip Package Interaction, and Wafer–level Reliability failure models
Results oriented and focused on quality of work
Excellent structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners
Strong presentation and technical writing skills
Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment.

Expected Salary Range
$63,500.00 - $142,000.00
The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
