Summary of Role:

We seek a dynamic and visionary leader to join us as the Vice President of Engineering and Technology Operations, reporting to the CIO. This is an opportunity for a technology leader to shape the future of a leading player in the semiconductor industry. As a key executive team member, you will drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence across our global technology landscape. You will help build GlobalFoundries' competitive edge in semiconductor manufacturing. Your forward-thinking approach will transform technology into a strategic asset for business success.

In this role, you will influence internal stakeholders, lead a team of technical talent, and foster a collaborative and innovative community. Your ability to inspire, influence, and drive change will be key to achieving our ambitious goals and solidifying our position as an industry leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

Technology Transformation

  • Lead the development and implementation of transformative technology solutions, including cloud migration, data center modernization, and digital infrastructure enhancements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully execute technology initiatives, driving business value and operationa l efficiency on a global scale .

  • Monitor and measure the success of technology projects, demonstrating tangible ROI and value to stakeholders.

    ​ Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering and IT operations strategy aligned with GlobalFoundries' business objectives .

  • Lead global technology transformation projects, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the engineering and IT teams.

    Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day engineering and IT operations, ensuring systems and process efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

  • Implement best practices for operational performance, including process optimization, quality assurance, and risk management.

  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational capabilities and competitive advantage.

    Leadership and Communication:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and integrity

  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and skill development.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure data is leveraged for strategic decision-making.

    Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives and drive strategic decision-making.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners, leveraging their expertise to enhance operational capabilities.

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, or related field

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and global IT operations, with a focus on technology transformation projects

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing large-scale technology and change initiatives .

  • Experience with operational technology, including hardware, software, and monitoring systems that run manufacturing systems.

  • Strong technical expertise in engineering and IT operations, in cluding cloud technologies, data centers, digital inf rastructure , and security .

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to infl uence and inspire diverse teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and translate complex data into actionable insights

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field

  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing

  • Experience with IT operations in industrial manufacturing industries

  • Passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of technology-driven operations.

  • Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and align teams toward common goals.

Expected Salary Range

$208,000.00 - $387,600.00
