Investment Strategy Analyst, Specialist (The Vanguard Group, Inc. / Malvern, PA) -- Conduct research and analytics using internal and external resources and datasets with primary focus on investor behavior, portfolio construction and investment advice; perform quantitative and qualitative analysis and offer opinions and recommendations; prepare written and statistical analyses as needed to shape company leadership for clients, prospects, senior management, and media; present analysis and results internally and externally to clients or constituents; participate in ongoing review and enhancement of company's investment methodology; perform detailed methodology audits and make recommendations on changes; support internal client requests for ad hoc research projects; assist in building and maintenance of on-line research library and instruct internal clients on its use; assist in creating investment-related presentations given by company management; participate in group discussions designed to identify and debate investment issues and potential research projects; develop recommendations on new research topics or methodology issues; manage research partnerships with academic collaborators, including professors and graduate students. Requires Master's in Economics, Finance, or closely related field and one year of experience in job offered or as Research Contractor and/or paid Teaching Assistant in Finance and/or Economics and/or Econometrics. Background in education, training or experience must include demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets using Python, R, and SQL; experience with Amazon Web Services (Athena, S3, SageMaker); demonstrated technical and analytical skills as well as writing skills; demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple assignments; demonstrated knowledge of capital markets and investment concepts; demonstrated ability to manage network of internal and external research partners. Position can be performed remotely from any location in the U.S.
