altafiber Senior Billing Analyst in Manapakkam, Chennai, India

Job Description

Job Purpose :

Creates complex customer invoices including examination of contract terms and conditions. Works with Sales and Operations Teams on the calculation of invoices and billability. Reviews and understands all billing processes and works within Excel to ensure billing data is entered correctly.

Essential Functions:

  • Invoice Generation: Create and issue accurate invoices based on sales orders, contracts, or services rendered. Ensure invoices are issued in a timely manner.

  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of billing accounts to ensure accuracy. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during reconciliation.

  • Customer Service: Handle billing-related inquiries from customers and internal stakeholders. Provide clear and professional assistance to resolve billing disputes or issues via telephone, video conference call, and/or email.

  • Data Entry and Maintenance: Accurately input and update billing information in the billing system. Perform billing audits and investigations. Ensure all data is current and reflects the latest changes in customer accounts.

  • Compliance: Ensure all billing activities adhere to company policies. Maintain confidentiality and security of billing information.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Sales, Service Delivery, Service Support and Finance.

Education:

  • Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Experience:

  • 3-6 Years

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3 to 5 years in related field

  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize; must be able to lead multiple billing activities/projects with varying timelines

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, subtotals, filters, formulas including vlook-ups); must be comfortable with large amounts of data

  • Exceptional customer service skills to ensure a strong relationship with large customers (Internal and external) are maintained

  • Demonstrated problem solving, confidence and decision-making ability to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines using analytical capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Optimistic, high energy, and operates with a sense of urgency

  • Experience with billing systems (Ascendon and Great Plains)

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow within the role

Supervisory Responsibility :

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment :

The work is primarily performed in an office or remote environment.
