Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Manhattan Beach, California
Description
We are providing an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our retail team located in Manhattan Beach, California. This role will involve managing and maintaining our financial records, specifically focusing on accounts receivable and related functions. The successful candidate will be adept at using accounting software systems and have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suites.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and record transactions in the accounting software systems.
• Experience processing chargebacks, deductions, and navigating Big Box retailer portals.
• Regularly update and maintain customer credit records using Microsoft Excel.
• Carry out billing functions and check processing to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
• Monitor cash activity and manage the collection of delinquent payments.
• Use Microsoft Office Suites to create reports and present data related to account receivable functions.
• Collaborate with the team to streamline and improve accounts receivable processes.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to credit applications and payments.
• Perform other accounting functions as needed to support the financial health of the organization.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to handle Billing Functions efficiently
• Experience in managing Cash Activity and Check Processing
• Prior work experience in the Retail industry is preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred
• Relevant certifications in accounting or finance are advantageous.
