Description
Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Financial Project Manager to support our large, international retail client who is currently in the midst of an Oracle implementation, for a 5+ month on-site engagement in west Los Angeles. As a part of this key role, you will coordinate and manage the implementation of the Oracle financial system across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
Develop and execute detailed project plans for implementing Oracle Financial Systems.
Step in and manage the project, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
Liaise between the finance team, IT and the SI to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in system design and implementation.
Identify and manage potential risks and devise contingency plans.
Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and ensure project deliverables are on track.
Lead the testing process and the implementation of the Oracle system into the finance business unit.
Deliver training and provide user support during and after the implementation process.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain data and system integrity.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial project management role within the retail industry
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems and its implementation.
• Proficient in business systems and accounting functions
• Demonstrated expertise in managing budget processes
• Strong skills in project management, including planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and coordinate with various departments to achieve project goals
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information and concepts in an understandable manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to create and analyze financial reports
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand
• Ability to organize and manage large amounts of files, tasks, schedules, and information
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Efficient and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
