Local CDL Delivery Driver - In Store Sales Location: Mankato, MN Join a dynamic team as a safety-focused Truck Driver - In Store Sales Associates at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. and help make the world more productive every day! Linde Driver - In Store Sales Associates safely and efficiently deliver various products, including compressed gas cylinders, following a computerized local route to customers. They load and unload products at client sites and are physically active on the job. This position also interacts with customers, providing excellent customer service, answering inquiries, and selling various products in-store, including welding equipment and supplies, gases, and rentals. Linde Truck Driver Benefits: - Competitive compensation - Comprehensive benefit plan (medical, dental, vision and more) - 401(k) retirement savings plan - Paid time off (vacation, holidays, PTO) - Employee discount programs - Career growth opportunities - Work/life balance (allows you to be home nights and weekends) What you will be doing: - Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service - Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up - Complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations - Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections - Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance - Build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs - Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing - Provides customer support by taking phone orders, addressing inquiries, tracking order status and shipments and solving customer issues - Assess and recommends products while promoting additional sales of hard goods and gases to achieve target margins - Conduct product demonstrations for customers using customer insight to drive and guide the development of new offerings - Works closely with and provides sales support to Outside Sales team - Maintains customer records and files, including accurate account setup and pricing - Performs warehouse duties and moving cylinders for customers as needed - Other duties as assigned What makes you great: - 2 years of consecutive driving experience or have recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School - Valid class A or B CDL is required - Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire - No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years - No alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years - Pass a DOT physical and o btain a medical certificate - Customer Service or Counter Sales experience required; Industrial setting preferred - Knowledge of welding equipment and supplies preferred - Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds - Read and write in English - High School Diploma or GED required - 21 years or older - Effective organizational, listening, and communication skills - Upholds high standards of honesty and integrity - Demonstrates personal ownership for safety and actively contributes to a strong safety culture - Contributes to a positive work environment where differences are valued and supported - Strives for personal achievement and helps others attain results - Ensures accountability through collaboration and interpersonal skills Why you will enjoy working with us: Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2023 sales of $33 billion.
