The mechanic will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of machinery and equipment used in our recycling operations. The successful candidate should possess strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. esponsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance on recycling machinery to ensure optimal functionality. - Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in a timely manner. - Conduct inspections to identify any potential problems and recommend preventive measures. - Collaborate with other team members to schedule and execute maintenance tasks efficiently. - Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. - Order and maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment supplies. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols. - Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime. - Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics or maintenance staff. - Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs or part replacements. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a mechanic for at least 5 years, preferably in an industrial or recycling setting. - Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - High school diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical training is a plus. - Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks in an industrial environment. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong communication skills Working Conditions: The position involves working in a recycling facility, which may include exposure to various environmental conditions such as noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
