Interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-12 week assignment. Here, you will make an impact by:Addressing relevant business concerns through both individual and team-oriented projectsTaking advantage of initial and ongoing training opportunities and exposure to leadership through informational interviews, social events, and a formal presentationHR intern assignments will reside within our HR Solutions organizations but project work may occur in any of the functional areas within our HR organization; interns will work on projects that represent real challenges faced by 3M and mirror the work of our full-time team membersThis role will partner with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Total Rewards and/or HR Risk Management to lead projectsExample skillsets utilized:Project Management Using industry approach such as agile/scrum, managing a project end to endHR Process Design -Evaluating key HR processes, and using your ability to construct/reconstruct them using process methodologyChange Management -- Using industry approach, ability to measure and design change programs that drive employee engagementEmployee Engagement -- Designing specific HR programs to elevate the employee experience (ie. Mentoring, recognition, listening action planning, etc.)Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:Currently pursuing a bachelors degree, from an accredited institutionAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in human resources or a related field from an accredited institutionCompleted a minimum of sophomore year (4 semesters) by the start of the internshipCumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scaleDemonstrate high ethical standards and leadership abilitiesDemonstrate interpersonal, communication, and team skills3M provides eligible interns with a housing and transportation stipend in accordance with current policy.Work Location: Hybrid in Maplewood, MNMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
