Here, you will make an impact by:Developing and maintaining an IT Portfolio and Project Management governance framework and policies to ensure the effective delivery, management, and oversight of IT investments.Develop and continuously improve the IT demand management processes to capture, assess, and prioritize IT service requests by working with IT and business and functions to understand needs and ensure these are documented and communicated effectively.Maintain a project demand pipeline, report on demand status, and forecast future needs based on business trends, which are aligned to strategic goals. Align Demand Management process to the Resource Management Process.Develop and manage the IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment to programs and with business/IT strategic initiatives and objectives.Evaluate project proposals to determine the feasibility, cost estimates, ROI, alignment with strategic goals, and resource availability.Monitor and report on the overall portfolio performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.Develop, implement and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.Manage the program management office (PMO), which serves as an escalation point for stakeholders, provides regular updates on project status, and discusses overall portfolio performance with leadership.Manage effective communications for the IT functionYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Fifteen (15) years of IT professional experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Project Management (PMP) Certification, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, or Scrum Master experience or certificationExcellent interpersonal and written communication skillsExperience with financial analysis, budgetingProven ability to develop and exercise project plans with minimal supervisionA quick learner, detail oriented, organized, strong problem-solving skills and collaboration across teams, functions and organizationsWork location:Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: Is not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
